Edited by: Dong Ninja on 27/12/2008 07:34:50 The topic I want to cover in this letter is big and complex, and I don't have much in the way of scientific data on it. Nor do I have a lot of hard statistics, just a number of general observations and a good bit of specific anecdotal material. Before I start, however, I should state that to understand what the OP's particularly hostile form of elitism has encompassed as a movement and as a system of rule, we have to look at its historical context and development as a form of politically incorrect politics that first arose in early twentieth-century Europe in response to rapid social upheaval, the devastation of World War I, and the Bolshevik Revolution. This in mind, I would like to demand a thoughtful analysis and resolution of our problems with the OP. While his semi-literate ramblings might be of some interest to specialists in child communication, I am not up on the latest gossip. Still, I have heard people say that if it were up to the OP, schoolchildren would be taught reading, 'riting, and racism.
If I wanted to brainwash and manipulate a large segment of the population, I would convince them that the OP is a spokesman for God. In fact, that's exactly what the OP does as part of his quest to destroy the lives of good, honest people. His musings are like hothouse plants. Tell me something: How can someone who claims to be so educated and so open-minded dare to compromise the free and open nature of public discourse? Whatever the answer, he ought to unstop his ears and uncover his eyes. Only then will the OP hear that to which he has been too long heedless. Only then will he see that I don't know what bothers me most about him. Is it his specious arguments, his illogical reasoning, his obscurantist claims, his unreasonable speculations, or any of the many forms of pseudoscholarship we see in his whinges? In any case, I recently received some mail in which the writer stated, "Favoritism is the leitmotif of the OP's announcements." I included that quote not because it is exceptional in any way, but rather because it is typical of much of the mail I receive. I included it to show you that I'm not the only one who thinks that life isn't fair. We've all known this since the beginning of time, so why is the OP so compelled to complain about situations over which he has no control? If you need help in answering that question, you may note that if I were a complete sap, I'd believe the OP's line that he is the most recent incarnation of the Buddha. Unfortunately for him, I realize that the OP's pranks reflect a headstrong bias that will force us to bow down low before the worst sorts of self-pitying vendors of scapegoatism there are in a lustrum or two. (Yes, the OP's whitewash of the issue offers no real analysis of the situation that resulted in his biggety, disreputable outbursts in the first place, but that's an entirely different story.)
We cannot afford to waste our time, resources, and energy by dwelling upon inequities of the past. Instead, we must make this world a kinder, gentler place. Doing so would be significantly easier if more people were to understand that the OP demands absolute and blind obedience from his co-conspirators. If he didn't, they might question his orders to destroy our culture, our institutions, and our way of life. This unrelenting demand of obedience also implies that it's easy enough to hate the OP any day of the week on general principles. But now I'll tell you about some very specific things that the OP is up to, things that ought to make a real the OP-hater out of you. First off, somebody has to prevent the production of a new crop of unrestrained degenerates. That somebody can be you. In any case, I can't make heads or tails of the OP's expositions. I mean, does he want to regiment the public mind as much as an army regiments the bodies of its soldiers or doesn't he? Summa summarum, the OP is more concerned with the social acceptability of an idea than with its truth or falsity.
